Since Alfie gets the pleasure of getting to know all of your beloved pets so super well, we thought it was only fair that you have the opportunity to learn more about us! We recently interviewed an all-star and one of the best dog walkers in Atlanta, Tayler!
July marks Tayler’s one year anniversary with the Alfie pack. Around town, you can spot Tayler on the Atlanta Beltline or checking off all of Atlanta’s tastiest burgers, one by one (if you have any recommendations, let her know!). Tayler is one of the biggest dog lovers we know and a huge reason why many consider Alfie Dog Walking to have the best dog walkers in Atlanta. To learn even more about Tayler, check out her interview with us below!
Alfie: Where is your hometown?
Tayler: I’m from Woodbridge, VA. It’s about 20 miles south of Washington D.C.
A: What is your favorite thing about living in Atlanta?
T: My favorite thing is that there is always something to do! Plus, almost everywhere you go is pet friendly, which is perfect for us.
A: Tell us about your pet.
T: I have a 5 year old Goldendoodle, Archie! He’s my best friend and we’re attached at the hip. His favorite things to do are going for runs and playing fetch with tennis balls.
A: Where did you go to school and what did you study?
T: I graduated from Radford University in Virginia with a degree in Criminal Justice.
A:What CD is in your player right now? Or the modern day equivalent, what’s on your Spotify playlist right now?
T: I’m a little embarrassed to say it, but my Spotify playlist right now is mostly David Duchovny. I’m a huge X-Files fan and, of course, as soon as I found out he made music, I was hooked.
A: Atlanta loves its neighborhoods… Which is your favorite?
T: My favorite neighborhood is O4W. Mainly because it’s mine, but also because it’s very lively and provides for some of the best dog walks in Atlanta!
A: How many steps did you take yesterday?
T: Yesterday I took 29,000 steps!
A: What is your favorite restaurant in the ATL?
T: My favorite restaurant in Atlanta is Java Jive, hands down! Buttermilk pancakes with cinnamon butter… is there anything better?
A: Did you have pets growing up?
T: I’ve always had dogs growing up. My first baby was a Yellow Lab named Tyler. Of course, my toddler self wasn’t a fan of that name, so she became FeFe. I also had a Miniature Schnauzer named Leisel (we had just watched The Sound of Music when we brought her home). The last bit of her very happy 13 years with us was spent hanging out with Archie and stealing all of his food.
A: Can you share one of your favorite Alfie memories?
T: One of my favorite memories has to be when I got to meet a puppy named Max the very same day that his new mom brought him home. I’ve been taking Max on walks multiple times a day ever since, and even get to do overnight stays with him when Mom goes out of town. Watching him grow up has been so much fun — like all the pups I walk (but especially with Max), I definitely feel a strong bond as if he were my own!
