The Alfie Guide to Atlanta’s Pup-Friendly Patios

Restaurant Dog

If you’re like us, this beautiful spring weather has you thinking about taking your pup out for a stroll and a pit stop on a comfy patio. You know, someplace where the beer is cold and Fido’s always welcome. With over 100+ pet-friendly bars and restaurants in Atlanta, however, the decision of where to go can be a tough one. Lucky for you, we’ve put together a short list of some of our favorite spots to relax and enjoy the sunshine with your pup!

BUCKHEAD: Treehouse Restaurant & Pub

Treehouse

Were you one of those lucky kids that had a tree house as a kid? No? Neither were we. Fortunately, this little spot in Buckhead provides that nostalgic tree house feeling along with great service, delicious food and cold beer. Alfie’s pro tip: The patio can fill up quickly and be a little tight, so you may want to look a little further down the list if you’re brunching with your Great Dane.

INMAN PARK: Barcelona Wine Bar

Barcelona’s wine list will make every wine lover drool, and the albondigas might even make you howl. Located in the heart of Inman Park, this dog-friendly restaurant boasts one of the very best wait staffs in the city who have been known to supply water AND treats for your pooch! Alfie’s pro tip: Go ahead and splurge for the valet, as finding free parking in Inman Park is no easy feat!

MIDTOWN: Campagnolo

Hip Italian restaurants are not always associated with a pet-friendly atmosphere, but Campagnolo is both! Located near Midtown’s favorite corner of 10th Street and Piedmont Ave, Campagnolo is the perfect spot to have a glass of wine and some delicious pasta while people watching with Fido by your side. Alfie’s pro tip: Our friends at The Pet Set are right next door, so stop by and get your pup a little treat, too!

BROOKHAVEN: Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub

Always full of regulars, Kaleidoscope is a great place for a fun, casual meal. They describe their menu as “global comfort food” and Alfie can attest to the deliciousness of their wide range of options, from their Award Winning Kaleidoscope Burger to their rendition of the southern classic, Shrimp and Grits. Bring the pup along and they’re sure to receive the royal treatment, too. Alfie’s pro tip: The burger. Seriously. Just try it. Oh, and burgers are half off on Mondays!

OLD FOURTH WARD: Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall

Situated right off the Beltline in the Old Fourth Ward, this new and beautiful restaurant is quickly becoming a favorite Atlanta hangout. Jezebel Magazine even awarded it one of the hottest restaurants of 2015. Alfie recommends taking advantage of one of Atlanta’s sunnier days with a walk for Fido along the Beltline followed by a double stack burger for you at Ladybird. Alfie’s pro tip: Grab a beer from their new outdoor bar and a seat overlooking the Beltline for people and pup watching at its finest.
